US 83 South resurfacing work – Daytime & nighttime – Go slow, prepare to merge

LAREDO, TX – Weather permitting Tuesday thru Thursday, May 10-12, 2016 during daytime hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Anderson Columbia, Inc. (ACI) subcontractor (Clark) will be applying a pavement underseal (seal coat) on the US 83 southbound lanes between Palo Blanco and Cielito Lindo Blvd.
In addition, during nighttime hours between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for the next couple of weeks, ACI crews will be paving the same section of roadway with a final layer of asphalt.
Alternate lane closures will be in effect throughout the length of the surfacing project and police support will be used to direct traffic.
The traveling public is urged to slow down, merge to open lane(s), and obey all safety signs and traffic control devices in the work zone while looking out for the safety of construction workers.
