United ISD Awards Banquet Recognizes Top Employees and Teachers

(Laredo, Texas)-The United ISD Employees of The Year banquet was held at the LIFE Downs Pavilion on May 3, 2016. Recognition categories included “Teacher of the Year,” “Instructional Paraprofessional of the Year,” and Paraprofessional/Auxiliary Staff Member of the Year” at the elementary, secondary, and department levels. “District-Wide Employees of the Year” received trophies, plus prize packages valued at $200.00 each.
The names of “District-Wide Teachers of the Year” were also disclosed. Three runner-ups for that title received vouchers for up to $1,000.00, courtesy of the Ashley Home Store. Finally, the winners of “District-Wide Teachers of the Year” title will get to drive their choice of new automobiles from the Powell Watson Motors Group for one full year! United ISD congratulates all winners for a job well done!
