United ISD: “We’re LOVIN’ McTeacher Night!”

(Laredo, Texas)-McDonald’s Restaurants of Laredo recently presented nine United ISD elementary schools with their checks for participating in McTeacher’s Night.McTeacher’s Night is a popular and visible fundraising program that takes place in McDonald’s restaurants where educators, students, parents, and friends are invited to their assigned McDonald’s location to “work” and raise money for their respective school. In United ISD, McTeacher’s Night was held on October 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

“We would like to thank all the schools that participated,” said McDonald’s owner Mike Marasco. “It’s always great to see students, families, and educators come together for an evening fun while helping to raise funds for their school.”

Schools that participated in these events received 20% of the total sales from that restaurant.

“We want to thank McDonald’s Restaurants for working with our schools and for being great community partner of our District,” said United ISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos.

The donation checks given by McDonald’s owners Marasco and Rocio De Leon. United ISD schools that participated in McTeacher’s Night were:  Gutierrez, Salinas, Clark, Ruiz, Prada, Trautmann, Centeno, De Llano and Kazen Elementary Schools.

McDonald’s plans to host more McTeacher’s Night events in the Spring.
