United High School Athletes take 1st on 7on7

(Laredo, Texas)-Athletes from United High School in the 956sports 7on7 tournament against Sharyland in Mission, Texas on June 27, 2015. The Texas State 7on7 Association is a private organization governed by coaches from the state of Texas that promotes football through 7on7 competitions. The tournament consisted of 16 High school teams. Teams that finish in the top two qualify to move on to the 7on7 State
Tournament. As a result, UHS is set to play under Division 1 in the 7on7 State Tournament in College Station, Texas on Friday July 10, 2015.
The qualifying teams from the division will be divided into pools consisting of four teams each with the top two of each moving on to the championship round on Saturday morning.
The remaining two teams from each pool will also play on Saturday in the consolation bracket. Laredo was previously represented in the state tournament by Alexander High School in 2008. The Division 1 state 7on7 Championship game will be played at approximately
