United ISD Police Department Presents End of Year Preventive Measures

uisdCourtesy, Clemente Camarillo Chief of Police UISD Police Department

The UISD Police department requests the assistance of all parents as this school year comes to a close to practice all preventative measures.  Parents can help ease their own concerns by being extra vigilant about what your children bring to school on their person, in backpacks and/or in their vehicles. Please remind your children about what items are considered acceptable to bring to school.  Objects such as, toy guns, toy knives, and lighters are prohibited and will be taken seriously. All incidents will be reported to the UISD Police Department and appropriate disciplinary action will follow.

The UISD Police Department is dedicated to promoting safety, education, good character, and leadership skills. It is our mission to help young people improve their lives by building self-esteem, and developing good values and skills during critical years of growth.

UISD campuses are places to learn and should be safe, secure and free of violence. Drugs, weapons, and disruptive behavior have no place in our schools and will not be tolerated. Any student who violates laws at school will not only be subject to disciplinary action as stated in UISD Board Policies, but may also be subject to arrest by the police and/or legal action may be taken. Additional information is provided in the Student Code of Conduct/Student-Parent Handbook.

“I applaud all of our 2015 Graduates on their achieved accomplishments and wish you a future full successes.  To all of our returning UISD students, have a safe and enjoyable summer, stated Chief Clemente Camarillo.”
