One Tough Mud’r 3 Set for May 3

Get ready; it’s on now!

(Laredo, TX )  So you were ready for a little mud and a lot of fun and instead got too much rain?  Don’t worry tough mud’rs….the Mud Run 3 race is back on and is ready for you.  So get ready; it’s on now! And, if you didn’t get to sign up the first time; you are in luck, because registration is still ongoing.     

The No Mud! No Glory! One Tough Mud’r 3!  Presented by Alamo Drafthouse has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2015, at North Central Park, 10202 International Boulevard, starting at 7:30 a.m.

The third annual 5K obstacle course boot camp style mud race, hosted by District VI Council Member Charlie San Miguel and the City of Laredo will still include the same individual categories and team categories.  For those participants who were already registered, a new packet pick-up time and date –participants may need new bibs and start times – will be done on Friday, May 1, 2015 at James & Maria Luisa Haynes Recreation Center, 2102 Clark’s Crossing Drive, from 8 AM – 8 PM. 

Late registration price is $55 for adults or $20 for youth and $25 teens and can be done online at www.cityoflaredo.com and follow the link, with credit/debit card only. Participants can also register at any of the following four City of Laredo recreation centers with cash or money order only, up until April 30:

·                     James & Maria Luisa Haynes Recreation Center, 2102 Clark’s Crossing Drive;

·                     North East Hillside Recreation Center, 320 Wyoming;

·                     El Eden Recreation Center, 4735 Loma Vista; and

·                     Barbara Fasken Community Center, 1201 Cerralvo Drive.

Every participant will receive a One Tough Mud’r Medal and the Award Ceremony will follow immediately after the race! Official times will be posted throughout the race, for those serious athletes who are in it to win it. Top individual winners compete for the Firefighter Marcos Aranda Memorial Champion Award and teams compete for the Agent Jeffrey Ramirez Memorial Team Championship Award, as well as great prizes from Alamo Drafthouse, Golds’s Gym and Complete Nutrition.  Categories for law enforcement, gyms, and high school and other less competitive categories will make the race even more fun for all! At the Awards Ceremony, prizes will be given out for the Biggest Team; Best T-Shirt Design; Oldest Participant; Youngest Participant; Dirtiest Participant; Best Costume (yes! Bust out the wig and crazy duds and run dressed up!); and the Best Team Name.

For those runners who are already registered and are unable to make the race on the rescheduled date will be given a full refund.  Please visit the James & Maria Luisa Haynes Recreation Center, 2102 Clarks Crossing Drive, between the hours of 8 AM – 8 PM for a refund.
