LAREDO, Tx – Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance forces worked hard through the night to re-open and maintain open US 90 West and US 277 North in Val Verde County open to the traveling public.

Through a collaborative and combined manpower effort, Laredo District maintenance crews from the Del Rio, Brackettville, Eagle Pass, Carrizo Springs, La Pryor treated roads with granular and liquid Magnesium Chloride with chat rock aggregate to help de-ice roads. Also assisting with related road closures in their respective district were personnel from the Odessa and San Angelo districts.

TxDOT crews statewide will continue monitoring roads and bridges prone to ice up under current inclement weather conditions.
