(Laredo, Tx)-Because the FLU vaccine is the most effective measure towards reducing the impact of influenza, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas received his annual flu shot today at the City of Laredo Health Department, delivered by Maria Paredes, R.N. The flu shot is especially vital for those at high risk that are more susceptible to respiratory complications and infections that send many to the emergency room, especially during the winter months.
The very young, elderly, those with heart and lung problems, allergies, pregnant or immune-compromised are extremely at risk for complications.
“The flu vaccine is the safest, easiest, and relatively painless way to protect you and your loved ones from suffering from the flu this season. Join me and protect yourself and get vaccinated,” stressed Salinas.
