United ISD’s Administrators prepare for new school year by attending a one-day training conducted by TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) for the latest trends and best practices for the up and coming computer technology in the classrooms.
The one-day professional training wascomposed of 5 sessions including topics such as;
TCEA & Google, iPad Basics, ePortfolios forAuthentic Assessment, Digital Citizenship, Twitter 101, Student Response System for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Grow Your Administrator, 3-2-1 Action-Screen casting tools, YouTube tools to the rescue and app smashing.
Over ten thousand computers are being distributed to replace older equipment at all elementary and secondary campuses across the District. Providing our students with access to the latest computer technology ensures that they will be well-prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing digital world, and help them become problem solvers, critical thinkers, collaborators and creators.
