Jeremy Strawn Named American Association Pitcher of the Month

Laredo, TX – With four wins, including a complete game shutout, Laredo Lemurs RHP Jeremy Strawn has earned the American Association Rawlings Pitcher of the Month honor for July.
Strawn, a former Florida Atlantic University Owl, made five starts this past month and the Lemurs won all five of them. Strawn allowed no runs in three of the four wins, including a gem on July 27 against the Grand Prairie AirHogs. In that game, Strawn went the distance, striking out four AirHogs and allowing no runs on five hits and a walk. The Lemurs won 6-0. He also tossed seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Sioux Falls Canaries on July 17 and six shutout frames in a 22-5 drubbing of the Amarillo Sox on July 5.
Strawn is now 4-0 with a 2.95 ERA on the season. In nine games, five of them starts, he has 31 strikeouts and nine walks over 39 and 2/3 innings. Strawn walked only four batters while striking out 28 this month.
