Written by Post Public Information Representative, Jun 13, 2014, 0 Comments
Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) wants to remind the public that rabies continues to be a local threat and that everyone needs to vaccinate their pets (3 months and older; or check with your veterinarian), either at their veterinarian’s office or at the Health Department. Pets also need to be registered with a microchip and be under the care of a veterinarian. For this reason, CLHD will be conducting the last Rabies “Vacuna” Clinics for the month of June. The City of Laredo continues to respond to calls of bites from strays.
Many of these are found to have not been vaccinated putting persons at risk for rabies. Owners must know how important it is for them to vaccinate with rabies vaccine, distemper and parvo and be tested for pet diseases. This will protect not only pets and their families but also our community The cost for pet rabies vaccination is $12.00. Microchip and Registration $22.00 Additional vaccinations will be available upon request for an additional cost.
This event will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Laredo Animal Care Facility at 5202 Maher Avenue, Laredo, TX
