(Laredo, TX ) After the recent Amnesty Program, it will soon be time to go after those citizens who still owe fines, tickets, or worse. City of Laredo Municipal Court Judge Rosie Cuellar will soon commence with Operation Warrant Round Up, going after those citizens who have disregarded their obligation to pay their tickets.
Operation Warrant Round Up is going to be conducted in conjunction with the Laredo Police Department starting on Monday, July 14, 2014 through Friday, July 25, 2014 where Laredo police officers will be executing these warrants.
Judge Cuellar still wants to gives the citizens of Laredo the opportunity to come by the City of Laredo Municipal Court at 4610 Maher Avenue to make arrangements for pending tickets. Even if someone has an outstanding warrant, they will not be arrested if they voluntarily present themselves to court; however, be prepared with some money to lift the warrant.
“I have given plenty of opportunity and time to the citizens of Laredo to come by the Municipal Court and take care of pending fines through the recent Amnesty Program,” said Judge Cuellar. “Unfortunately now is time to bring those citizens that didn’t comply with or address their outstanding debts.”
Citizens are strongly advised to check to see if they have “old,” pending tickets or even worse, an arrest warrant. Don’t assume! It is always best to personally check with Municipal Court.
