Thanks for all you do! The United Independent School District held a special event this morning to recognize the District’s school counselors in honor of National School Counseling Week. Over 100 United ISD school counselors gathered at the Student Activity Complex and were thanked for their work and dedication to the over 43,000 students of the District.
National School Counseling Week is sponsored by the American School Counseling Association to bring focus to the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems. This special designation highlights the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve success in school and plan for their future. School counselors in United ISD implement comprehensive school counseling programs and handle a variety of duties at their respective campuses.
City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas honored the counselors with a proclamation.
