United ISD Will Have a Late Start School Day Tomorrow

(Laredo, Tx)_The United Independent School District has been monitoring the weather situation closely. Rain and cold temperatures are expected in the Laredo area and the commute to schools could be challenging; therefore, United ISD will delay the start of the school day for all students by two hours. The school day start times are the following:
Schedule for Students:
Elementary Schools: 9:45 a.m.
Middle Schools: 10:00 a.m.
(Trautmann 6th grade campus: 9:45 a.m.)
High Schools: 11:00 a.m.
United 9th grade campus: 10:45 a.m.
The United ISD Transportation Department will provide transportation services. Students will be picked up two hours later than their regularly scheduled pick up time.
No classes for a.m. Pre-Kinder Students will be held on Friday, January 24th. The p.m. Pre-Kinder classes will meet as regularly scheduled.
Also, due to the late start time, breakfast will not be served at any campus; however, lunch will be provided.
After-school day care services will be provided as regularly scheduled.
All afternoon/evening activities will also continue as scheduled.
Employee Schedule:
Campus Based Employees
Teachers and staff (Non-Auxiliary Employees) are asked to report to their respective campuses as follows:
Elementary Staff: 9:00 a.m.
Middle School Staff: 9:15 a.m.
High School Staff: 10:15 a.m.
Auxiliary Employees are asked to arrive at their assigned campuses by 8:30 a.m.
Department Employees
Facilities Department Staff will report to work by 8:00 a.m.
All other department staff members will report to their worksites by 9:00 a.m.
