Robber Sends Store Employee Thru Window

(Laredo, Tx)-On Tuesday, December 10th, Laredo Police received a robbery call by Zorba located at 420 Convent Avenue. Investigation from Patrol revealed that an unknown male suspect, who was originally thought to be a customer, was trying on some new tennis shoes inside the store.
The suspect then exited the store without paying for the shoes. A male employee, age 45, chased after the suspect about 3 stores down the street. The male suspect then forcefully pushed the male employee towards a store front window which broke upon impact. The male employee sustained serious bodily injuries while the suspect fled the scene. The employee was transported by an ambulance to the hospital.
The only description given of the suspect was that of a young male wearing a jacket with a white striped shirt.
