vMADD VIDEO CONTEST CAN HELP STUDENTS WIN MONEY:  Rosie Moncada (pictured standing right) gives Roni Yunes, of the United ISD Public Relations Office, information about a MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) video contest, as her spouse Americo Moncada looks on.

The video contest is open to all middle and high school students in the community.  Students need to answer the question, “If you don’t drink alcohol today, what could your tomorrow be?” in a 15 second Instagram video.  Then submit the entry to madd.org/youthvideo.  The contest winner and the school with the most submissions will each win $1,500!

The deadline for entries is December 20, 2013.  The Moncada’s lost their son, David Americo Moncada, in Dallas when he was killed by a drunk driver, who was a repeat offender, in 2007.  Now, the Moncada’s dedicate their time to giving free intoxication awareness presentations throughout Laredo and surrounding areas.  For more information about the MADD video contest, go to madd.org/youthvideo.
