Runway Dreams Fashion Charity Event

Runway Dreams, “Kids helping kids as fashion takes action,” charity took place this Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Guerra Centre Hall. Antonio Gonzalez Middle School 7th grade Teacher, Brenda Garza, in conjunction with Catwalk Kidz Fashion Boutique hosted the show in effort to raise money for UISD’s uniform assistance voucher program. Silent auctions with items donated by local businesses were available.
Photographers and videographers were at hand to capture the young models on the runway! Guests were served with drinks, finger foods and deserts all courtesy of show. After the show, guests were invited to shop at the different vendor tables available. These local vendors donated 10 % of their earnings to the cause. Participating models, both boys and girls, ranged in age from 10 months old to 12 years old. All children modeled clothing from Mrs. Garza’s local kid’s boutique, Catwalk Kidz! Twenty student volunteers from Gonzalez Middle School assisted the fashion show with set-up and back stage production.
