Officers Respond to Shooting at D.J. Republic on Shiloh

Laredo, Tx- On Sunday, July 7, 2013, officers responded to a shooting at DJs Republic at 401 Shiloh. Once there, officers found that several people had suffered gunshot wounds to their lower legs. Paramedics responded to the scene where two victims were treated and then transported to Doctors Hospital. It was then learned that a total of three other victims had been transported by private vehicle to Doctors Hospital (five total at Doctors) and another two victims had been taken by private vehicle to Laredo Medical Center.
Six of the victims had the same type of injuries to their lower extremities. One victim was going to be flown to San Antonio for further treatment of a serious wound to the knee.
The preliminary information gathered was that a fight between two parties which was broken up by bouncers inside the club a few minutes prior to the shooting. The persons involved were removed from the club.
Then one male involved in the fight went to a vehicle and grabbed a firearm and began shooting at the bouncers and other people standing outside the club. Two of the persons hit were bouncers and the other five were patrons of the club. Several 9mm casings were located at the scene. No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
