Police Seek Robbery Suspect

(Laredo, Tx)-On Sunday June 16, Laredo Police were dispatched to 2402 Blaine St for a reported Robbery.  Laredo Dispatch advised officers that a male subject was wearing a cap and was covering his face with a yellow bandana  the subject was armed with a kitchen knife.  A victim stated that the subject was last seen running on Blaine St.  Upon arrival of the police a stripes  clerk stated  that the subject was wearing a black cap with a red logo on it, a yellow bandana which covered his face, a plaid button down shirt, black jeans, was about 5`4″,  and had green eyes (unknown if contacts or actual color). 

2402 Blaine -Stripes 2The clerk also stated that the subject ran into the store and went behind the counter demanding the money while he displayed a large kitchen knife.  The clerk  handed the subject the money and noticed that the suspect grabbed a pack of Marlboro Menthol cigarettes before he ran out the store. 

The subject spoke to him in Spanish as he was demanding the money.  The clerk could not recall what decal the cap had but stated it was black with a red decal on the center of the cap. Officers proceeded to check the area for any suspicious persons, one officer was able to notice a shirt in the middle of the roadway by Jaime Zapata Memorial Highway and S New York Ave. 

Officers were able to confirm that the suspect was wearing a plaid button down shirt which matched the description of the shirt found thrown on the roadway. The suspect was able to get $40 in currency and the pack of cigarettes.
