Come Meet Your Council Members On The Corner

(Laredo, Tx)-District VI Cm. Charlie San Miguel invites all District VI residents to meet at the corner of Del Mar and McPherson. Residents are urged to come and meet your council member and to discuss any concerns or ideas residents might have regarding the district.
Joining Cm. San Miguel will be representatives from the Laredo Police Department, the Laredo Parks & Leisure Services Department as well as the Laredo Traffic Department.
“It is important that city elected officials be easily accessible to the public. Busy as we all are, we do our best to make it easier for the public to meet with us personally,” states Cm. San Miguel.
At the last meet your council member on the corner, of the 40 concerns brought forth by residents, Cm. San Miguel has been able to address 35 of the issues. Of those pending, other concerns, such as cost, are holding up the items. However, Cm. San Miguel is still exploring ways to address those issues.
“This absolutely proves that these meetings are productive and do work for the constituents,” he added.
The event will take place Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at the Exxon Speedy Stop, located at 7615 McPherson, on the corner of Del Mar & McPherson.
