LISD to Host Open House at all Campuses

Laredo, Tx- Laredo Independent School District will be hosting an Open House at each of their campuses in celebration of Texas Public Schools Week. As part of the week-long celebration, schools will be inviting parents to visit their children’s classrooms on March 19-20. Parents and children are welcome to attend.
All elementary, middle, and high school campuses will open their doors to parents for a firsthand look into the learning their children receive on a daily basis. Report cards will be distributed to all students during the open house.
“We invite the community to come and see the quality education LISD is providing for every student in every classroom,” said LISD Superintendent Dr. Marcus Nelson. “There’s no time like the present to check on your children’s academic progress and see how we prepare our students for success in the 21st century. I encourage our parents to be prepared with a list of questions. If you have any specific concerns and need some more time, our teachers are always available by appointment.”
The schedule for the Open Houses is as follows: Elementary schools will host their open house on Tuesday, March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Middle schools will host their open house on Tuesday, March 19, from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. High schools will host their open house on Wednesday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
