UISD, LCC TO OFFER “FREE ESL CLASSES” TO PARENTS

Do you need to speak, read, write and understand more English?
Laredo Community College , in conjunction with the United Independent School District , will offer all levels of English as a Second Language or ESL classes to UISD parents. Classes offered will be at the Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels. And best of all, classes are free! But you must sign up by January 18, 2013.
The lessons will focus on daily living skills and effective communication in an English speaking environment. Placement tests are given to adult students before enrollment.
ESL classes will be offered at the following UISD campuses:
- Lyndon B. Johnson High School
- Washington Middle School
- Trautmann Middle School
- Clark Middle School
- Los Obispos Middle School
- Salvador Garcia Middle School
- Juarez-Lincoln Early Childhood Center at D.D. Hachar
(Formerly United D.D. Hachar Elementary School )
Child care will be available for children two to four years old at Juarez-Lincoln Childhood Center Site and all adult students must provide a recent TB test prior to enrolling.
