(Laredo, Tx)-Mariscos El Pescador along with City of Laredo Council Member Mike Garza , United Independent School District Board Trustees Ricardo “Rick” Rodriguez, Ramiro Veliz, lll, Webb County Commissioners Wawi Tijerina, LaredoBuzz.Com and Mike Montemayor, honored six students today for their academic achievements. These students will be considered for a scholarship at the end of the school year. Sitting left to right are: Lilana Negrete, Cigarroa High School ; Lucia Macias, Lyndon B. Johnson High School , and Alyssa Benavides, Nixon High School . Standing from left to right are: Alice Herrera, representing Commissioner Tijerina; John Rodriguez from Cigarroa High School; Council member Mike Garza; Jorge Silva, Nixon High School; Cesar Patoni, Lyndon B. Johnson High School; and UISD Board Trustee Rodriguez. A recognition ceremony and luncheon was held at Mariscos El Pescador del Sur where their family members, as well as, their school administrators joined them.
