LISD extends high schools’ library hours

(Laredo, Tx)- Laredo Independent School District Library and Media Services Department recently extended library hours at all three of its comprehensive high schools.
In an ongoing effort to raise student achievement, the district has extended library hours to allow students the opportunity to read, focus on assignments, work on projects, do research, and have access to the Internet.
Students at Martin, Nixon, and Cigarroa High School will have full access to the school’s library and media center on Tuesdays until 7:00 p.m., and on Wednesdays until 6:00 p.m.
Library hours on Monday, Thursday, and Friday are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m.
