LISD Campuses Close for Staff Development

All Laredo Independent School District campuses will be closed Monday, September 10, due to staff development training. LISD administration, faculty, and staff will report to work on Monday morning for their required staff development training.
There will be no classes for students on Monday due to staff development training. Students will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, September 11. However, students attending Laredo Community College or Texas A & M International University as part of LISD’s Dual Enrollment initiative will have classes as scheduled on Monday. All Early College High School’s 10th, 11th and 12th grade students will have their regularly scheduled classes on Monday at TAMIU. Transportation will remain as scheduled.
Throughout the day, employees will attend various training sessions. Teachers will be focusing on end of course exams, academic vocabulary, and collaborative training. The sessions will be held at various sites and campuses throughout the district. Attached is a schedule of the sessions.
The LISD Administration Offices and the LISD Tax Office will remain open. The Tax Office is located at 904 Juarez Ave. and will be open during regular business hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
