Council Member San Miguel to Host First-Ever 5K Mud Race in Laredo

No Mud! No Glory! One Tough Mud’r!

(Laredo, Tx)-Cm. San Miguel will be hosting the first-ever 5K mud race in Laredo  on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at North Central Park, as a fundraiser for supplies the Bethany House.  The race, billed as “No Mud! No Glory! One Tough Mud’r!” will be a fundraiser for school supplies for United I.S.D. schools in his district, as well as to help assist the Bethany House.

 I’m so excited to be hosting another unique and fun event that will not only benefit really great organizations in Laredo, but also, that will bring people to the beautiful Central Park and enjoy all of the different elements that it has to offer,” said Cm. San Miguel.  “I encourage everyone in Laredo to come out and participate in  – or eventwatch – this  first ever mud race in Laredo.”

 While the length is a typical 5K, approximately three miles, the course is anything but. 

Throughout scenic North Central Park, registration and starting line at park entrance at 10202 International Boulevard, the race course will feature 27 boot-camp training type obstacles, featuring, you guessed it, MUD.  Obstacles such as monkey bars, mud hill climb, over and under logs, with mud pit and a mud crawl are just a few of the challenges that will make the No Mud! No Glory! One Tough Mud’r! race fun and exciting.

 The entry fee for this race is $25.  Pre-registration is taking place at Ciclomania,  7913 McPherson Road, Ste 104.  The day of the event, on-site registration willtake place from 8:00-9:30 a.m. only, with cash or check accepted only on same day registration.  Categories include individual men; individual women; individual 18 andunder; and team categories.  Price per team is per person.  Thanks to the generous sponsors of the event, Cm. San Miguel promises fun andprizes and a good hose down after the event, with a live concert and bar-be-que to relive the fun of the first ever No Mud! No Glory! One Tough Mud’r! 5K Benefit Race in Laredo.
