L.J. Christen Middle School Students Prepare Care Packages for Soldiers

(Laredo, Tx)-L.J. Christen Middle School students in the GEAR UP IV program will be presenting care packages to Mrs. Maria R. Lopez, Family Assistance Specialist with the Texas Military Forces. The items the students collected will be given to the Texas Army National Guard units, on the 436th Chemical Company and the 3rd Battalion 141st infantry. The students created the care packages which include travel-sized shampoo, magazines, soap, toothpaste tooth brushes, shaving cream, lip balm, and bug repellent, among other items. In addition, students also attached thank you cards and messages of appreciation.
