Laredo Wolves Girls Basketball Team Debut in Lady Horns Tournament

(Laredo, Tx)-The Laredo Wolves Girls Basketball Team made their debut this past Saturday at the Lady Longhorns Invitational. The newly formed team consists of 4th grade elementary students from Alicia Ruiz Elementary, J.C. Martin Elementary and Kawas Elementary. The team includes 17 girls in total. The fourth grade bracket in the tournament included four teams The Lady Texans who won first place, the Clark Bulldogs who placed second, The Laredo Wolves who placed third, and the Lady Longhorns who placed fourth.
Each team played three games. The tournament started at 8:20 in the morning and continued late in the evening. The tournament showcased some of the best local talent in Laredo at every elementary grade level in boys and girls basketball. Trophies and medals were given to the top two teams in their respective divisions.

The roster for the Laredo Wolves includes: Summer Pate, Sylvia Rodriguez, Angela Martinez, Jocelyn Bravo, Nayma Jimenez, Genesis Saucedo, Jackylin Zapata, Ashley Gaytan, Amanda Gaytan, Natalie Ochoa, Cytlali Camero, Evelyn Espinoza, and Janie Camacho. The Wolves Team Captains are Summer Pate, Sylvia Rodriguez, Jocelyn Bravo, Nayma Jimenez, and Angela Martinez.
