Laredo, TX – The neighbors of the St. Peter’s Historic Neighborhood Association invite the public to a Sunday, March 25, 2012 gathering of friends and neighbors to share food and good stories. The group of neighbors asks those who would like to join in to bring a disposable plate of food to contribute and consider telling a story or two, in English or Spanish.
Local author, Cesar Salazar, will narrate a few urban legends from his book, Cuentos y Leyendas de la Villa de San Agustin de Laredo and guests will be encouraged to share theirs. Other noted guests have also been invited to join in the storytelling fun and a short walking tour. Association president, Paco Garcia states, “The neighbors of the St. Peter’s area are determined to make their neighborhood a fun place to visit and a source for historic appreciation and recognition of Laredo’s varied architecture. We invite Laredo to enjoy our story-telling traditions with us.”
The gathering will be outdoors at the offices of Totem, LLC at 1719 Matamoros at 3:00pm. Parking is on the street.
The St. Peter’s Historic Neighborhood Association meets the second Saturday of every month and plans various events in the neighborhood for awareness, appreciation and fun. For additional information, please email hi************@ma**.com
