(Laredo, Tx)-City of Laredo District I Council Member Mike Garza hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, for Merida Drive, a long-anticipated project for not only the residents in the area, but also for emergency and protection vehicles who will all greatly benefit from the new ½ mile connector.
Joining Cm. Garza were Dist. IV Cm. Juan Narvaez, countless City of Laredo officials and Webb County Pct. 3 Commissioner Jerry Garza and Pct. 4 Jaime Canales at the ribbon-cutting at the intersection of the new roadway. After the ribbon-cutting, emergency vehicles inaugurated the new road by driving on the new Merida extension.
