LISD campuses close for staff development

All campuses of the Laredo Independent School district will be closed Friday, February 17, due to staff development and training. LISD administration, faculty, and staff will report to work on Friday morning for their required training. Employees are invited to a Health Fair at the Dr. Dennis D. Cantu Health Science Magnet School. Doors for the Health Fair open at 7:15 a.m.. A variety of health screening will be offered to empolyes and thier family members. Among the sponsors attending are Laredo Medical Center, DR. Hospital, Aetna Insurance, Laruel Insurance, Mercy Miinistries, Gateway Community Health Center, and STACADA
However, there will be no classes for students on Friday due to staff development. Students will resume their regular schedules on Monday, February 20.
The LISD Administrative Offices and the LISD Tax Office will remain open. The Tax Office is located at 904 Juarez Ave. and will be open during regular business hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
