Santa To Visit Head Start Party

(Laredo, Tx)- All eyes and ears of the children from the Webb County Head Start program will be on the look- out for Santa Claus as Webb County Commissioner Frank Sciaraffa kicks off his 7th annual Head Start Christmas Party.
The event will take place Thursday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Laredo Civic Center.
“Christmas is a very special time for kids and I want all of them to have an opportunity visiting with Santa during this special time of the year,” Sciaraffa said. “It gives me great pleasure to see the smiles on the children as they enjoy special Christmas memories.”
Children will be treated to fun and games as well as a special performance by Clown Bolitas. Clown Bolitas goes on stage at 10:30 a.m. to entertain the children.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will make a grand entrance at twelve noon. Commissioner Sciaraffa will accompany Santa as he greets the kids.
Over fifteen hundred (1500) children will each receive a special present during the party.
“The present state of it economy is making it difficult for families to provide gifts for their children. We hope this party makes a difference to each and every child attending by providing them with a special gift,” Sciaraffa said.
