Mayor Salinas, Keep Laredo Beautiful Help Celebrate Arndt Elem. Veteran’s Arbor Day Celebration

City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas joined Keep Laredo Beautiful as students at the school hosted a Veteran’s Arbor Day Celebration. Several local veterans were present as students, thanks to help from Keep Laredo Beautiful and A.E.P. Forrester Don Fields celebrated and thanked them for their service to our country by planting trees and a Liberty Garden at the school in their honor. Mayor Salinas read a proclamation, which he presented to the school choir who sang a lovely rendition of Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to be an American,” and posed with elementary students who won a school contest in conjunction with this initiative.
