US 83 Pavement Overlay near Catarina

LAREDO, Tx – Beginning Monday, October 24, 2011, Anderson Columbia, Inc will begin Laredo District wide overlay paving project on a portion of US 83 North from the Webb/Dimmit County line to Catarina totaling 9.851 miles. This project is expected to continue for one month approximately. Cost for this district wide overlay project is $8.9 million. (CSJ: 0237-05-035, SH 44)
One-way traffic control will be in effect with pilot car assistance. This type of traffic control allows traffic to flow in one direction while oncoming traffic waits their turn.
Motorists are urged to SLOW DOWN, PREPARE TO STOP and EXPECT DELAYS.
Please observe all advance warning signs, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area.
