TAMIU Hosts Graduate, Professional School Fair Oct. 19

(Laredo, Tx)-Learn about the various graduate and professional school programs available throughout the state of Texas and beyond at the Texas A&M International University 2011 Graduate and Professional School Fair Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda.
Admission is free and open to the public.
TAMIU students, especially upperclassmen planning to attend graduate or a professional school, are encouraged to attend.
“Visitors can expect to obtain information on graduate and professional school, admission requirements, and have the opportunity to network with university recruiters,” explained San Juanita Pérez, director of student relations, TAMIU Office of Career Services.
“It is a great opportunity to gain awareness of the graduate and professional programs and the universities that offer such degrees,” Pérez added.
In the last 50 years, educational attainment levels for people 25 years of age or olderhave been on the rise. As of Fall 2011, it is projected that 687,000 people will hold a master’s degree in the U.S. and predicted that by Fall 2015 that the number will increase to 750,000.
