LISD campuses close for staff development

(Laredo, Tx)- All Laredo Independent School District campuses will be closed Monday, October 10, due to staff development training. LISD administration, faculty, and staff will report to work on Monday morning for their required staff development training.
However, there will be no classes for students on Monday due to staff development training. Students will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, October 11.
Also on Monday, as part of LISD’s commitment to Health and Wellness, LISD employees will participate in a staff development walk. Walks will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at designated campus and department sites. LISD Central office staff will observe National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink balloon release at St. Peter’s Plaza at 8:30 a.m.
The LISD Administration Offices and the LISD Tax Office will remain open. The Tax Office is located at 904 Juarez Ave. and will be open during regular business hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
