LISD Campuses close for Staff Development

All Laredo Independent School District campuses will be closed Monday, September 5, due to staff development training. LISD administration, faculty, and staff will report to work on Monday morning for their required staff development training.
There will be no classes for students on Monday due to staff development training. Students will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, September 6. However, students attending Laredo Community College or Texas A & M International University as part of our HB1 Dual Enrollment initiative will have classes as scheduled on Monday, September 5, 2011. Transportation will remain as scheduled. LISD assigned faculty is to accompany students to their courses as a regular day.
Throughout the day, employees will attend various training sessions. The sessions will be held at the Laredo Civic Center, and various sites and campuses throughout the district. Attached is a schedule of the sessions.
The LISD Administration Offices and the LISD Tax Office will remain open. The Tax Office is located at 904 Juarez Ave. and will be open during regular business hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
