SH 44 Road Work between Freer and Encinal

Go Slow and Drive with Extreme Caution
LAREDO, Tx- Alternating road closures and one-way traffic control will be in effect on State Highway (SH) 44 between Freer (US 59) and Encinal (IH 35) for road inlay pavement work beginning Monday, August 8, 2011 until Thursday, August 11, 2011 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The TxDOT Freer Maintenance section will be performing the work on the entire 48-mile stretch of two-lane road with two foot shoulders. Advance flagging work will be performed by Highway Technologies, Inc. The affected work traverses Duval, Webb and La Salle Counties .
Motorists should SLOW DOWN, drive with EXTREME CAUTION, prepare to STOP, expect DELAYS, MERGE to the open lane, and observe all advanced warning signs & flaggers, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area.
