City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas welcomed newly appointed Customs & Border Protection Port Director Sidney Aki to City Hall today in an informal meet and greet, to introduce himself to Aki, as well as to reaffirm the City of Laredo’s commitment to working together to keep our border safe and secure. Aki’s reiterated with his commitment to ensure that the nation’s number one inland port continue to process legitimate trade between the Mexico and the United States in a secure and efficient manner. Aki also pointed out that out of all places he has served, incuding Hawaii, Miami, New York, Detroit and California, having been in Laredo for two days, this is his favorite port and city.
