Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Street Level Marijuana and Cocaine

(Laredo, Texas) – On Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at approximately 9 p.m., an investigation by the Webb County Sheriff’s office led Deputies to the 3800 block of Santa Rita in West Laredo. Upon arrival to the residence, Deputies seized 7.3 grams of cocaine, 0.2 ounces of marijuana and digital weigh scales concealed within a bag of powder laundry detergent. The narcotics have an estimated street value of $500. Arrested on this case were Jose Cisneros, 24 years of age, and Rogelio Herrera, 30 years of age, both were charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, in a Drug Free Zone Felony 1 and possession of marijuana in a Drug Free Zone, a Class A misdemeanor. Both subjects were transported to the Webb County Jail.
“Both subjects were apprehended before these drugs made it into our streets. Our officers continue to be proactive and staying vigilant to keep our community safe”. Sheriff Martin Cuellar stated.
