Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department wants to remind the public that rabies continues to be a local threat and that everyone needs to vaccinate their pets as soon as possible, either at their veterinarian’s office or at the Health Department.
The City of Laredo continues to respond to stray calls and bites. Many of these are found to have no proof of pet vaccinations putting persons at risk for rabies. Owners must be conscious of how important it is for them to vaccinate and protect not only their pets but also our community. In addition, we want to let the public know that pet registration is required by microchip and the public has until August 1, 2011 to be compliant.
The cost for pet rabies vaccination is $12.00.
Distemper/Parvo shots available upon request.
