Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – Sheriff Martin Cuellar presented a check for $5,000 to the Children’s Advocacy Center.  Sheriff Cuellar has been committed to the cooperative working agreement between the Sheriff’s Office and the Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as being instrumental with the CAC’s Child Abuse intervention program. Sheriff’s Investigators are consistent with their commitment to these abused children and share one mission in common with other Law Enforcement Agencies which is to break the cycle of abuse through community education, training, and prevention. The $5,000 comes from Sheriff’s forfeiture account.

“It is imperative that we, as Law Enforcement Officers, keep our commitments to the community and the children of Webb County.  Our Investigators assigned to the Child Advocacy Center Multidisciplinary Team are properly trained to deal with child abuse cases and bring perpetrators before the justice system to face the crime.” Sheriff Martin Cuellar stated.
