High school students in need of volunteer hours may earn them this summer at Texas A&M International University. The TAMIU Office of Continuing Education extends its call for volunteers to anyone 16 years or older who wants to have fun this summer. Deadline is Wednesday, June 1.
“We need volunteers to enrich the lives of our campers by helping them in theirclasses and helping expand their horizons. We have many different activities at our camps which include academic Planetarium activities, science, recreational and art,” explained Kimberly Martin Del Campo, program coordinator.
She added that summer camps are a great way to complete volunteer hours. The campers really enjoy the volunteers and look forward to seeing them.
Camps meet Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Volunteers may work part of or all day.
Volunteers will receive a certificate for their hours completed at the end of the summer.
