Alma Pierce Elementary Students to make Donation to Alabama Tornado Victims

Alma Pierce Elementary School students and staff will make a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of the tornadoes in Alabama. American Red Cross Branch Manager Isela Sanchez will accept the donation. Alma Pierce’s donation enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to the storms that ripped through Alabama on April 27, 2011. For the students of Alma Pierce, this project is also a lesson on climate, geography, community service, and humanitarian aid.
