Webb County Jail Kitchen Facilities Pass Inspection

Courtesy Maru De La Paz,

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – The Webb County Jail’s kitchen facilities passed a recent inspection by the city of Laredo with flying colors.  On March 23, 2011, the city of Laredo Health Department conducted a routine kitchen inspection report at the Webb County Jail.   In that inspection, the Webb County Jail and its kitchen facilities received a perfect score of 100.

Of twenty-nine (29) food establishment requirements—including food temperature/time requirements, personnel handling/source requirements, facility and equipment requirements—the Webb County Sheriff’s Office kitchen facilities were found to be in perfect compliance with established standards.

This success is just another example of the on-going improvements at the Webb County jail.  These many management and capital improvements include the jail’s continuing successful passing of the stringent jail inspections conducted by the State Commission on Jail Standards.

Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar states, “As custodian of the jail and its inmates, I am proud of my jail management personnel and kitchen staff for their continuing commitment to public service and standards of excellence in the provision of their sworn duties.   Accomplishments such as this food inspection highlight the quiet but diligent dedication that the vast majority of my officers and civilian staff undertake every day in the fulfillment of their work duties.  We hope to continually improve our service to the public in all aspects of our organizational responsibilities.”
