Webb County Commissioner Pct.2 Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina Hosts Easter Picnic in Mirando

On Monday, April 18th, 2011, Webb County Commissioner Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina hosted an Easter Picnic for elderly participants of all Precinct Two Community Centers at the Ernesto J. Salinas Community Center in Mirando City, Texas. Participants from Mirando City and Bruni, Texas community centers, as well as the Larga Vista Community Center in Laredo attended the event.
Participants had fun playing bingo, hunted for Easter cascarones and competed in an Easter Hat decorating contest. They also enjoyed a nice pollo asado lunch with all the trimmings as well as cake for dessert.
Webb Consolidated Independent School District Superintendent, Severita Sanchez, joined Commissioner Tijerina in awarding the prizes for the hat decorating contest.
