Trevino Magnet School Exhibit Opens Tonight

The Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts Print Journalism/Online Media and Visual Arts students will be having their annual exhibits at the Laredo Center for the Arts on display through April.
An opening reception for the three shows will be held Wednesday, April 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Forty-five students in the print journalism/online media program will present 180 digital photographs at their 15th annual Photography Exhibition in the LACF Community Gallery. Topics of the students’ photography range from nature to people to things, and include subjects ranging from everyday life to the whimsical and fantasy.
Students in the program produce the nationally recognized Magnet Tribune newspaper in print and online editions.
Seniors in the Visual Arts program are presenting their VMT career artwork at the Rosalie Goodman Gallery, while other art students will display in the Lilia G. Martinez Gallery.
More than 100 pieces on display will range from acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculptures, charcoal and pencil drawings, mixed media, jewelry and print making.
Visual Arts instructors are Gilberto Rocha and Alfonso Santos, and Mark Webber is print journalism/online media instructor.
