Rabies “Vacuna” Clinics for April 2011

Courtesy Xochitl Mora,

Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department wants to remind the public that rabies continues to be a local threat and that everyone needs to vaccinate their pets as soon as possible, either at their veterinarian’s office or at the Health Department.

The City of Laredo continues to respond to calls of bites from strays. Many of these are found to have not been vaccinated putting persons at risk for rabies. There has even been a reported case of a child bitten by a household pet that was not vaccinated. Owners must be conscious of how important it is for them to vaccinate and protect not only their pets and their families but also our community.  The cost for pet rabies vaccination is $12.00.   Distemper/Parvo shots available upon request.
