US 83 Lane Closures on Guadalupe-Chihuahua at Marcella

LAREDO – Weather permitting, alternating lane closures will be effect Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the US 83 intersections of Guadalupe-Marcella and Chihuahua-Marcella for removal of traffic signal lights by Star Operations, a sub contractor for Anderson-Columbia contractors.
DRIVE WITH CAUTION: Please SLOW DOWN and MERGE to open lane(s) and observe advanced warning signs, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area. Most of all, look out for flaggers and work crews. Save a Life!
US 83 (Guadalupe-Chihuahua) street and lane closures are associated with ongoing construction of railroad overpass known as the US 83 RRGS (railroad grade separation) project (CSJ# 0086-01-052) being constructed by Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. at a cost of $10.8 million. TxDOT Laredo Area Engineer Carlos G. Rodriguez, P.E. is responsible for this project.
