CONGRESSMAN CUELLAR HOSTS VETERANS FORUMS IN THE 28TH DISTRICT OF TEXAS

Provides legislative update to Veterans, joined by representatives with the Veterans’ Administration and VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health System
Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) hosted a veterans forum on Tuesday at the American Legion Post 59 in Laredo, Texas. During the veterans forum, Cuellar gave a legislative update on access to the VA health care system, new implementations of the G.I. Bill, and information on health care benefits for veterans.
“Our veterans are owed great respect and admiration for their service to this country, and I am committed to looking out for their interests,” Cuellar said. “I thank those veterans who joined us and look forward to visiting with them again in the near future.”
Veterans’ Administration and VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System representatives joined Congressman Cuellar and spoke to veterans about issues of importance to them and their families.
“We must increase our veterans’ accessibility to healthcare. Making sure our veterans have access to quality services close to home is important to me. These brave men and women deserve the best treatment possible,” Cuellar said.
Congressman Cuellar will host his 2011 veterans forums throughout the 28th District of Texas and will visit all 12 counties. The forums will conclude on Thursday, March 24, 2011.
